Find a single tree, not the festival block. At 7:40 a.m. the sidewalk is still a portrait studio. Stand the dog in the shade of the trunk with blossoms behind the ears, slightly soft. Kneel. Keep the leash short and the curb side blocked with your body. Petals on a wet nose look like debris. Blink the dog, wipe the muzzle, take three frames. You do not need the whole tree in focus. You need a pink field and a sharp eye. If a runner fills the background, wait. One clean frame beats a famous street. Leave when the sun clears the roofs and the petals turn into white holes.
Crowds, cars, and the dog’s feet
